Reiki for Earth Hour

Earth Hour LogoEarth Hour is an international event organized by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), and held each year on the last Saturday of March, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

The main goal of Earth Hour is to create awareness around climate change issues and "to express that individual action on a mass scale can help change our planet for the better" and not to marginally reduce energy consumption during that specific hour.

Scam e-mail target Reiki Practitioners

We would like to warn you about certain online "predators" targeting bodywork therapists. Initially they targeted massage therapists, a larger-spread and better-known group of healers, but recently they have broadened their area of interest and included all kind of other alternative healing modality therapists, including Reiki Practitioners.

We know these scams have been brought up before, but didn’t know if anyone had seen this particular one or not. We just got one, and thought we’d share it, along with the reasons that we know (at least in our case) that it’s a scam.

The scam starts with a harmless e-mail like the one below:

Water – The Movie

On Sept. 17th Dr. Masaru Emoto and Intention Media launched the ground-breaking documentary film WATER at The Reconnection’s Mastery Conference. The event took place at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles. The proceeds went to the benefit of The Love Planet Foundation and The Emoto Peace Project.

We already talked about the best-selling author and internationally renowned water researcher, Dr. Masaru Emoto in two previous articles. This time, the leading researcher and pioneer in the study of water and his revolutionary discoveries are featured in his latest breakthrough film. The film challenges audiences to explore water – the most abundant resource on the planet and more than 70% of our bodies – as we have never seen it before.

The Conference

Thanksgiving and First Nations

In almost every society there is a ceremony where people express thankfulness for life’s blessings. In agrarian societies, these ceremonies were directly connected to the harvest season. As evident from most of the cultures, people would associate these with harvest festivals in gratitude of the God who protects them and their crops.

First Nations

Long before the time of the first north-american thanksgiving celebration, it was traditional in many First Nations cultures to offer an official giving of thanks during autumnal gatherings. In Haudenosaunee culture, Thanksgiving is a prayer recited to honor "the three sisters" (i.e., beans, corn, and squash) during the fall harvest.

The original Iroquois Thanksgiving. is a four-day long ceremony. They spend these four days in ceremony and they bless the Earth, all life on it, and Great Spirit. In Iroquois the prayer is called Ohenton Kariwahtekwen, “The words that go before all else”.

This prayer was given to the people of all nations as a “give away” by Iroquois Elder, Jake Swamp, and the Iroquois Nation. A “give away” means that people have permission to use and adapt the prayer in any way that is appropriate for them. In Native traditions, without this permission, it would be inappropriate to take their prayers and use or change them, so this is a tremendous gift from the Iroquois people, and we should be thankful for this prayer.

Here is a short version of the Iroquois prayer:

Today we have gathered and we see that the cycles of life continue. We have been given the duty to live in balance and harmony with each other and all living things. So now, we bring our minds together as one as we give greetings and thanks to each other as people. Now our minds are one. We are all thankful to our Mother, the Earth, for she gives us all that we need for life. We give thanks to the Waters and the Fish. We are grateful for all the Plants, the Food Plants, the Medicine Herbs and the Trees. We send greetings and thanks to all the Animal life in the world and the Birds. We give great thanks to the Four Winds, the Thunders, The Sun, our Grandmother Moon and the Stars. We gather our minds to greet and thank the enlightened Teachers who have come to help throughout the ages. And we send our deepest gratitude to the Creator, or Great Spirit, for all the gifts of Creation. Now our minds are one.

As we can see, they are thankful not only for the things they have, but also for being a part of Mother Nature, and for being able to live in harmony with it. We should learn from them, and on Thanksgiving Day, more than every day, be grateful for everything we Have and for everything we Are.

And last, but not least, Reiki teaches us the principle of gratitude deriving from its basic Five Principles. “Just for today, be grateful” is a valuable thought that we should live by every day. Gratitude heals our hearts and minds. On Thanksgiving Day, focus on all that you are thankful for. Begin your gratitude practice today and notice how gratitude opens your heart and makes it easier for you to recognize your blessings. Appreciate the love and abundance in your life, regardless of the challenges that you may face. Empower the words “Thank you, I am grateful” with Reiki and allow Reiki and the mantra to shift your perceptions.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Qi Gong at The Marina

We practice Qi Gong (Chi Kung) in our living room or on our deck when the weather allows it. This year, we decided to use the beautiful setting of the Leamington Marina and the unique energy of Lake Erie and do our exercises under an early morning sky.

Lotus openingOur dear friend Lynn, who is also a Reiki Practitioner, decided to join us in this experience. All three of us wrote it down in our busy schedules, so that it would be done without any complaints or excuses. We picked Monday and Thursday, from 8 am to 9 am for this experience. Also, we carefully chose a quiet and inspiring spot by the Marina Pavilion where the shore faces the lake on the East.

Lifting the SkyIt was an amazing idea. Practicing it on the deck or in the backyard, compared to the shore of the lake made a great difference for somebody with almost no Qi Gong experience, but with experience in Reiki or other energy healing modality. More than that, the energy around the lake was different every time. Some mornings it was extremely powerful, some others it was calming and soothing. The combined effect of the energy accumulated through Qi Gong and the energy of the lake was definitely why we felt so energized for the rest of the day.

Tea timeAfter the Qi Gong practice we sat at a picnic table to have a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy the breeze, and share our experiences.

Since the weather was still nice and seemed to co-operate with our little project, we decided to extend our Qi Gong by the Lake practice into October, usually on Mondays and Thursdays, from 9 am to 10 am. Of course, our practice days may vary depending on the weather.

So it becomes quite essential for the person it is cialis sale browse around this link being delivered to, especially if it has your name on it. Radiesthesia and Reiki

In the written literature, as well as online, we can find two terms that apply to the phenomenom of the location of substances, objects or people through the use of pendulums or dowsing rods. The old term is dowsing and the modern one is radiesthesia (or radioaestethics). Are they the same thing or do they refer to different concepts?

History and Etymology

Angle rodsThe origins of radiesthesia have been dated to the ancient Egyptians and Chinese, as a mystical art, as early as 7000 years ago. The term dowsing and the practical aspects of this concept were mentioned in Europe since the 15th century, as I already explained in my previous article Dowsing Basics.

In 1930 the term radiesthésie was first used by Abbé (priest) Alex Bouly in France, replacing the old terms rhabdomancie or sourcellerie. From there, the term radiesthesia was lent to English in the 1930s, where it was used in parallel with the older word dowsing.

L’ Association des Amis de la Radiesthesie was established in 1930 and the British Society of Dowsers was founded in 1933.

Dr. Solcol W. Tromp wrote about this phenomenon in his book Psychical Physics, a 534-page book published in 1949. This reference has a bibliography of over 700 titles relating to dowsing and radiesthesia.

Gerald Gardner, in his book Witchcraft Today, 1954, refers to his own anecdotal experiences with radiesthesia as evidence supporting the existence of "witch power".

These days, there are many periodicals, publications, books, societies, and even more numerous websites dedicated to radiesthesia.

Reiki-Do Website available Worldwide

We are pleased to announce a new addition to our Reiki website.

Google Translate Logo

Reiki-Do website has now an automated translation tool – Google Translate. This is Google’s online language translation service that instantly translates the current web page in one of the supported languages. This tool supports 24 languages for now, but the number is continuously growing.

Unlike other translation services, Google uses its own translation software. Google Translate is based on an approach called statistical machine translation. In the first stage it used United Nations documents that are normally available in all six official UN languages.

Once the current web page translated, the visitor can:

  • navigate on the entire website in the selected language
  • do research in the selected language
  • see the original text by placing the mouse cursor over a translated phrase
  • return to the original website.

The study on aromatherapy http://new.castillodeprincesas.com/directorio/seccion/salones/?wpbdp_sort=-field-1 levitra 5mg indicated it eased pains and injuries in body and also improved the functioning of central nervous system. In order to hold its ordering viagra from india shape during an erection, it relies on increased blood flow to fill the erectile chambers to become flooded with blood when an erection is called for in order to flood the erectile chambers.

We have to keep in mind that Google Translate, like other automatic translation tools, has its limitations. While it can help the reader to understand the general content of a foreign language text, it does not deliver accurate translations and does not produce publication-standard content. For example, it often translates words out of context and is deliberately not applying any grammatical rules. For some languages, users are asked for alternate translations, such as for technical terms, to be included in the translation process.

We hope that this new tool will bring Light and Joy into more lives all over the planet.

Love, Gratitude, and Reiki to water

Some of you may have already heard of Dr. Masaru Emoto, either from one of his books Messages from Water, or from the movie What the Blip do we know? both of which contain photographs of water crystals next to essays and words of intent.

Water CrystalEmoto believes that if human speech or thoughts are directed at water droplets before they are frozen, images of the resulting water crystals will be beautiful or unpleasant-looking depending upon whether the words or thoughts were positive or negative. His studies demonstrate that music, prayer, spoken or written words, or simply thoughts in front of a water container can modify the quality of that water, which results in a change in the way that water crystalizes.

Those who practice Reiki already know that giving Reiki energy to a glass of water changes the quality and the taste of that water.

In 2006, Emoto published a paper together with Dean Radin and others in the peer-reviewed Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing, in which they claim to have proven in a double blind test that approximately 2000 people in Tokyo could increase the aesthetic appeal of water stored in a room in California, compared to the water in another room, solely through positive intention.

Baikal Lake

Now Dr Masaru Emoto is taking a step further in his quest for healing the waters of the world. He is organizing a Ceremony to Send Love and Gratitude to the Water of Lake Baikal and the Waters of the World. This Ceremony will take place on the Shaman Rock of Olkhon Island, the biggest island of Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia, on August 3rd between 5pm and 6pm, local time.

This week's
« Light Reflection »

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity.
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.
